The New C-OPN Site in London, Ontario

  • On May 28, 2023

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a new C-OPN site at Western University in London, Ontario. This expansion brings the London community into the fold, joining over 1,400 individuals with Parkinson’s from across the country who are already participating in groundbreaking research. By becoming a part of this national network, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of Parkinson’s research. Penny MacDonald is the Lead Principle Investigator at the Western University C-OPN site (London, Ontario). Dr. MacDonald is also a Movement Disorders Neurologist, Canada Research Chair Tier II in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging, and Associate Professor in Neurology in the department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at the University of Western Ontario.

There are now 10 C-OPN sites, located in 8 cities across Canada, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, London, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City.

To hear more about C-OPN and the London Site launch, listen to interviews with Dr. MacDonald and Dr. Oury Monchi (C-OPN Director) on 980 CFPL here.

If you are living with Parkinson’s disease in the London area, we invite you to become a participant with C-OPN and contribute to the research that can transform lives. Finding a cure for Parkinson’s requires a collective effort. Together, we can bring about meaningful change and discovery toward a cure.
